Almost nothing on this site is written by hand. That is the point — and it is also the thing a reader deserves to be told plainly, on the page, rather than having to work out.

2. Where every listing comes from

Each listing is copied out of the Florida Division of Corporations daily corporate data file — the state’s own record of what was filed that day. Software reads the file, keeps the filings whose principal address falls in one of the nine cities we cover, and lays them out. No listing is invented, inferred, enriched or guessed. A business name, address, filing type and date on this site are the ones on the state record, reformatted and nothing more. 3. The one place a machine makes a judgement

Each listing carries a category — Real Estate, Professional Services, Health & Medical and so on. That category is assigned automatically from the registered name alone. It is a guess made by a program that has never seen the business, and it is frequently wrong: a company called “Blue Harbor Holdings LLC’” tells nobody what it does. Where the name carries no signal the category reads Other, which means the classifier declined to guess rather than that the business is uncategorisable. Nothing follows from the category: it does not affect whether a business appears, where it ranks, or how it is described.

The weekly figures — the headline count, the per-city and per-category totals, the busiest day — are counted from the records, not estimated.

4. What is not generated

We do not use AI to write anything about a specific business. There are no generated descriptions of what a company does, no summaries of its prospects, no inferred owners, no assessments of whether it is legitimate, solvent, licensed or worth your time. There are no generated reviews, testimonials, quotes or photographs of people anywhere on this site. The share image for each issue is drawn from that issue’s own counted figures.

Editorial wording that recurs across issues — the standing explanations, this page, the methodology notes — is drafted with AI assistance and read by a person before it ships.

5. Who is accountable

6. Getting something corrected or removed

Because the pipeline is automatic, errors reach the page without anyone seeing them first. So removal is deliberately the easiest thing on this site: ask us to take a listing down and we will, at no cost, with no account, no proof of ownership and no reason required, within two business days. A removed listing is deleted, not hidden — its address returns a genuine “page not found”. Corrections work the same way.
